Sara Village School is a one form entry primary school based on the UK model. Pupils may enter into the Reception class (Foundation 2) in the school year that they will turn 5 years of age. Key Stages 1 & 2 follow and pupils leave in the year they turn 11 years of age. Each age group is taught in the main by a classroom teacher with specialist lessons for: Art and Design technology; Arabic; Digital Citizenship; French; Computing; Music; PSHE and Physical Education.
The pupils are placed into one of four house colours as a means of providing vertical grouping for sports, social and academic events and for the accumulation of house points (awarded for demonstrating good behaviour in line with the graduate profile expectations).
The school follows the programmes of study outlined in the English National Curriculum with the exception of Religious Education which is forbidden in the Kingdom. The curriculum is modified only to reflect any cultural or religious content which may cause offence to our host country.
