Policies and Forms

We anticipate that your child(ren) will qualify for admission to SVS; however, some pupils do not.  Therefore, pupils must be able to participate as full-time pupils in the regular school programme to be eligible for enrolment.  It would be unfair and non-professional to accept pupils into regular programmes who have special educational needs which we are unable to meet.

Two principles guide admissions and placement at SVS.  We strongly prefer to place pupils with their age equivalent peers.  However, we realise the importance of ensuring the success of pupils who enter our school and wish to do everything that we can to prevent a pupil from experiencing any form of school failure.  Accordingly, all pupils applying for entrance to SVS who do not have appropriate assessment records from their previous school will be given our assessment tests prior to entry.  Assuming the test results support entrance, the pupil will then be placed in a class on the basis of:  age; appropriate learning abilities determined through our entrance testing; previous school records, and administration recommendations.  Admission test scores indicating placement for a pupil in a class more than one year below his/her age group up will usually result in non-acceptance to SVS.

In the event that initial placement based on the pupil's performance and teacher's evaluation after a period of time appears incorrect admittance to SVS will be re-evaluated.  The SVS administration reserves the right to re-evaluate a pupil at any time during the school year.

School fees must be paid in full within 30 days of the first day of attendance at ISG SVS unless an alternate agreement, such as the implementation of an instalment plan, has been arranged with the Head Teacher.  For details of 3rd child discounts, please contact the school office.

ISG Admission Policy
It is the policy of the Board to accommodate students of many nationalities. 
 
ISG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EVALUATE EACH APPLICANT TO DETERMINE ACCEPTANCE AND APPROPRIATE PLACEMENT. PREVIOUS SCHOOL RECORDS WILL BE REVIEWED AND CONSIDERED IN DETERMINING GRADE PLACEMENT.

 
Sara Village School will not accept students who, because of severe cognitive or physical disabilities require special education classes or services. If upon receipt of school records or present observations and testing, it becomes apparent that a student requires special services that Sara Village School does not provide, parents will be notified. The school reserves the right to refuse admission to a child for failure to satisfy entrance requirements of this policy.
 
New enrollees without previous school records will be placed according to chronological age and/or testing. The school reserves the right to reassign students upon receipt of previous school records and/or test results. The principal or designee shall make the decisions pertaining to yeargroup placement.
